If you're one to follow BMW, or even just general car industry news for that matter, you hay have heard rumblings of a first time ever alleged front-wheel drive BMW. BMW of Ridgefield is here to help you sort out the truth.

From what we know the allegation that BMW is going to unveil their front-wheel drive vehicle this year is merely speculation. That said; if Autocar's reports do in fact come to life, we are willing to say the new FWD BMW will debut in September at the Paris Auto Show. 

Next, it seems to be the consensus that the FWD BMW will be named "BMW 1 Series GT". The Bavarian automakers themselves, however, have yet to say one way of another. That being said, it would be wise to hold of on giving the vehicle a designated name as of yet.

The specs?  Yup, those are just speculation too.What you might see, according to Autocar is a vehicle boasting a turbo 1.5-liter, 3-cylinder engine - essentially the famed BMW 3.0-liter inline six engine halved.
